Don Bosco

Property & Access

The Don Bosco Copper-Gold Project totals approximately 4,300 hectares of exploration licenses covering five distinct target areas in western La Rioja Province, Argentina. The property is at elevations ranging from 2,500m to 3,500m above sea level. Work can be conducted all year round and a paved highway allows easy access to the southern part of the property.

Geology & Exploration Summary

[For full details of exploration results, please refer to the original News Releases filed on SEDAR.]

The property is underlain by Ordovician age sediments of the Rio Bonnet Group, that includes carbonates of the Las Damas formation and clastic metasediments (schists and phyllites) of the Cerro Cóndor formation. Along a major NW-SE trending crustal structure Mid-Carboniferous age granites and granodiorites intrude the sedimentary sequence and are presumed to be the cause of extensive copper-bearing skarn at San Alberto and El Pircarda zones. The intrusives also contain a pronounced sheeted zoned of fractures and quartz veins that host significant copper mineralization.

At Llantenes Cu-Ag (Au) is most concentrated within shears and vein-like structures which typically range from 0.5m to 4m wide. Disseminated copper also occurs in the inter-bedded shale-sandstone meta-sedimentary sequences.

The Don Bosco Project includes historical copper and gold prospects and high-grade mineralized zones identified by the Company's reconnaissance team. Golden Arrow completed several prospecting/sampling campaigns at the project. In total, 187 reconnaissance rock chip samples were collected from three distinct target areas: El Pircarda copper-gold skarn; Llantenes copper zone; and, the Las Minitas silver zone.

Highlights from reconnaissance sampling include:

  • San Alberto Scarn Zone composite chip sample:
    • 11m averaging 0.53 g/t Au, 46 g/t Ag 1.77 % Cu
  • El Pircarda Scarn Zone composite chip sample
    • 2.4m averaging 2.04 g/t Au, 114 ppm Ag 10.0% Cu
  • Llantenes Sedex Zone chip samples:
    • 1m grading 25% Cu, 8.6 g/t Ag
    • 2m grading 3.3% Cu
    • 33m grading 0.49% Cu
  • La Ramada Gold Copper-Veins and Breccia Zone chip sample
    • 4.69 g/t gold (4m chip sample)
