Property & Access
The Flecha de Oro Project includes an option for the Maquinchao properties, two adjacent concessions of 500 and 1500 hectares, in central Rio Negro Province. Details of the option agreement can be found in the latest Management Discussion & Analysis.
The property is road-accessible at modest elevations that allow for year-round exploration. The closest town is Los Menucos, situated about 22 kilometres to the northeast.
Geology & Exploration Summary
[For full details of exploration results, please refer to the original News Releases.]
The Project lies within the Somuncara Massif, where low and high sulphidation gold systems have been explored for since the first discovery of gold in the area in 1995. Examples of other gold-silver projects in the area include the Calcatreu low sulphidation gold-silver project located 165 kilometres to the southwest.
The Maquinchao property has indications of a gold-copper-silver high-sulphidation epithermal system. This includes silicified breccia outcrop over a one-kilometre striking structure with strong alteration that returned coincident gold, copper and silver anomalies from due diligence sampling.
